Mochipet - Horny and Bouncy
1. Horny
2. Horny (Yoseph's Hot Dog Remix)
3. Horny (Dice Motion's Love Drug Remix)
4. Bouncy
5. Bouncy (Computo's Moombahpet Remix)
Mochipet has been around and back. In the past 10 years, he's released on labels from BPitch control to his own Daly City Records imprint. He's toured the world extensively, including all over the US, Europe and Asia; he's probably played your town and remixed your music as well, having worked with everyone from Kraddy, Jahcoozi, Spank Rock, Big Boi from Outcast, and the list goes on. And on. And on.
The A-side is clarinet style horns and layers of lasers abound, blanketed thickly over floor shaking kicks. Included are a relentlessly funky mix by Yoseph and a heavy heavy heavy Dubstep/Breaks hybrid by Dice Motion.
The B-side is another thick, heavily layered cake of lasers and bass, this time with more swagger. Computo provides the remix on this one with an exotic moohmbaton mix.

3. Levitation
4. Passport
5. Thumb
6. Paper Cut (featuring Stephan Jacobs)
7. Capitol Rhino (Suspender Remix)
Capitol Rhino is the first city of the next cycle; the first city after the world as we know it changes irreparably. After the world's resources and priorities shift in what we assume will be a more tribal direction, the world's population will also shift to adapt to the new rules.
Capitol Rhino, the new release from Jupit3r is designed to reflect that shift. Heavy impacts reminiscent of a rhino's crash, and scattering, heady psychedelia to represent the human tribe's search for a new way to apply itself.
Jupit3r's debut EP on Vermin Street, Zipperumpazoo, hit Addictech's top 10 for the month of April 2011.
Recent releases include a remix of Stephan Jacobs on Simplify and the Headtron compilation on Muti.
Represented by the Headtron agency, you can catch Jupit3r promoting the Capitol Rhino release on a late April tour w/Omega and Ruff Hauser, rocking this year's Coachella and Lightning in a Bottle festivals, or doing production tech work for Amon Tobin's ISAM tour worldwide.
Repping artists from all kinds of Bass Music crews all up and down the east coast: Seclusiasis, Dub War, Beat Research, Party Liberation Front, Temple of Boom, ElecSonic, and of course Vermin Street.

Two years ago, Misk's Nintendont release on Vermin Street hit #1 on Addictech's top 10 weekly chart and finished in March 2010’s top 10 for the month. Well received on all fronts, the tunes made regular appearances on Starkey's radio
show and on Glitch.FM as well.
Since then, Misk has embraced new styles, deeper, detail oriented Dubstep with melody and rugged bass, and his own imprint, Elk Beats, with long time friend Eshone.
But here, with his next release, First World Problems, we dig up some classics from his closet. More 8-bit melodies and Skweee 2.0 baselines, more crunchy claps and a few 111 BPM bootyshakers.
Also featured on this release are a sexy, lazery remix by +verb, a rugged, epic remix by Encanti, a thick, psychedelic-hop remix by HM.T DM.T, and a straight hip hop joint from the one CocoBryce.
Dedicated to the memory of James Huntington, aka HM.T DM.T, who passed unexpectedly during the album’s completion.
50% of pre-expense sales will go to James’ family.
Burnkane does not produce music like you or I.
From repurposing dad's electronics for noise making in his teens; to working with a warehouse community/studio back home in Scotland; and now using programming languages such as Max/MSP, PureData and Supercollider to design audio manipulation software, Burnkane has developed an audibly unique approach.
With releases on Planet Mu and Electrocircle, Future Steps marks Burnkane's third release.
His alias, Beatwife, has been making Acid Jungle for years, with releases on a variety of labels, including Pixelord's Hyperboloid imprint and appearing alongside Core greats such as Xanopticon, Duran Duran Duran and more.
The A-Side of this release, Boathouse, is a creepy-seductive siren song with lush atmospherics and serious sub bass to rattle your pelvis.
This release features a thick 4x4/stepper relick by Robot Koch of Jahcoozi infamy, and an 808 driven Juke mix by Sonkin of the Seclusias camp.
The B-Side is the embodiment of future funk, paired down to the raw basics: crunchy bass, distorted claps and wah guitar plucks with the freshness.

2. 900 Miles (Sub Swara Remix)
3. 900 Miles (Pumpkin Remix)
4. 900 Miles (Zander Remix)

Rising Smoke of the Hobo Kings is a collaboration of Hobotech and Haj.
Haj is a founding member of Sub Swara, who, as an event, were pioneering in bringing Bass Music to NYC. He's also been involved with numerous lauded, cutting edge projects, including Nyxxys with Hannah Thiem of Copal and Freek Factory with vocalist, Blacklight.
Hobotech is the creation of Jon Margulies. His aesthetic is the sound of boxcar funk, deisel dub and badass bluegrass crunk. Hobotech has played festivals across the country, including Coachella alongside Haj, SxSW and Burning Man. Jon is one of the world's leading experts on Ableton Live, having authored multiple books and presented workshops around the US, including regular gigs at Dubspot and NYU.
The A-side of this release is a homesick traveler's bittersweet tale, featuring Blacklight on vocals and Hannah Thiem on violin. Introspective melodies are coupled with subtle glitches to create a grinding tune that is tense, soothing and sexy.
The release features a deep and bass heavy remix by Sub Swara; a smooth Downtempo House/Midtemp Funk version by Pumpkin (of Pocket Underground and The Wandering Marrionettes); and a third remix by Zander (aka Traveler) with glitchy bass filtering and sugary sweet melodies.
The B side is a funkified cover of an old Ledbelly tune, Linin Track. Again, featuring Blacklight on vocals, this time with an alto laid down over bass driven beat to inspire a hands-in-the-air call-to-arms on the dancefloor.
Hobotech is the creation of Producer/DJ Jon Margulies. Since it’s fireside conception in 2007, Hobotech has steadily grown in popularity. Since the original NYC events that featured a collective of talent including ATOM, FreeBassBK and Hobotrail, Jon’s recent schedule has included an appearance at Coachella, an opening set for Bassnectar with collaborator Haj (Sub Swara), and shows which have found him sharing the stage with luminaries of bass music including ill.Gates, David Starfire and AN-TEN-NAE.
1. Bobby Tank - Needin Me
2. Bobby Tank - Vanquish
3. Bobby Tank - Plug
4. Bobby Tank - Vanquish (813 Remix)
5. Bobby Tank - Vanquish (Kid Kanevil Remix)
6. Bobby Tank - Vanquish (Jon Phonics Remix)
7. Bobby Tank - Vanquish (Darkhouse Family Remix)
London's Bobby Tank is a flag-bearing 80's icon, a mad astrophysicist, and a hip hop kid from the future, freshly fallen through a wormhole to our day and age.
He's recently dropped tunes on the Aisuru Compilation and the Finest Ego & Project Mooncircle Compilation. He has a forthcoming release on Prime Dubs and this, his debut EP, Vanquish.
The Bobby Tank sound is one of nostalgic synths repurposed for the present, complimenting soulful, blenderized cut-ups reminiscent of days to come. Delicately woven leads and atmospheres trickle down from the skies, tickling the ears with tantalizingly tasteful treble, while thick pulsing bass will shake that ass like a coked-up stripper at a Miami club, circa 1983.
This release comes replete with a gamut of remixes of the title track: 813's dope Dubstep lick; Kid Kanevil's seductive 808 mix; Jon Phonics smooth space funk refix and Darkhouse Fam's fresh wonk-hop version.
Phokus is a central part of Hamburg's bass music scene.
Drum and Bass was his first love; he began DJing in 2001 and producing shortly after. Before long, Phokus found DnB getting harder and evolving away from the sound he grew up on. And from there, with the birth of Dubstep following soon after, Phokus found his passion for bass music revived.
2007 saw Phokus' first Dubstep release on MG77 Recordings. Since then, he has played all over Germany and done remixes for Jazzsteppa and Spillsbury.
2007 also saw the birth of WobWob!, Hamburg's Dubstep monthly which has played host to all kinds of local and international talent. The past few years have seen Phokus and the rest of the WobWob! crew playing and booking for Germany's annual Fusion Festival.
The title track of this release, Time, is a crisp stepper laden with dark atmospherics and multi-timbral bass hooks. The Drum and Bass influences are clear, but this tune steers clear of the ubiquitous Brostep sound. Zeno provides a psychedelic take on the piece, with a filtered midrange and arppegiated hooks that may lend itself to be called PsyStep.
The flip side of this release, Untitled, also starts off with Drum and Bass influences, but drops into a less traditional take on the Dubstep sound. The thick bass feels driven by the upbeat snares, while the melodic arps give the tune soul. Remixes on this one by The Next, with a harder, more wobble-oriented stepper and DFRNT with an ambient DnB version.
1. Phokus - Time
2. Phokus - Time (Zeno Remix)
3. Phokus - Untitled
4. Phokus - Untitled (The Next Remix)
5. Phokus - Untitled (DFRNT Remix)
Yoseph draws upon influences from all corners of the music spectrum (from Reggaeton to Polka to IDM) and can spin any tale into a fresh, bass driven dancefloor meltdown. 10 years of experience in all sorts of forays have made Yoseph the force he is today. From experiments in rhythm on cassette to his Jungle/IDM catalog as Nvoise, to his toying with pop music formulae and other shenanigans. As Yoseph, the artist has releases on multiple well respected bass music labels, including Monkey Dub Records, Savory Audio and Mambo Records.
The title track of this release, Stardust, starts off with a funky hook of a bassline and stop-on-a-dime beats. After the break, Amens drop from out of nowhere and the souldful union of Old School Jungle with the new school of Dubstep is complete. Ill-Esha's remix keeps the soul, but substitutes the Amen Breaks for some serious bass manipulation. Tightly programmed filter envelopes test the definition of what you may call a Wobble.
The B-Side of this release, Sugarllama, is every bit as funky and fresh as the flip. Glitches, intricately carved from the salsa rhythms, diced up with fresh beats, sizzling leads and crunchy bass make this tune a midtempo bass fiesta.

Retrotation - The Classic EP
1. Dirrrty Romance
2. Haunting Echoes
3. Drops in the Desert
4. Drops in the Desert (Splatinum Remix)
5. Drops in the Desert (Scuzzy Remix)
Hailing from the East Coast of the New World, Retrotation is a composer of Bass Musique with a most unique sound. Formerly a designer of three dimensional sorcery in the industry of video gamery, the artiste has left his former post for a new passion -conducting grande orchestrations of operatic female vocalists, wobbles, lazers and classical piano.
Having graced Victrolas in homes across every nation, via BBC Radio 1 and Glitch.FM, as well as countless weblogs, thousands of listeners have been made privy to the compositions in this virtual dominion in the realm of SoundCloude.
For the Classic EP, Retrotation pairs antiquated disciplines with accoutrements of futuristic sounds. The result of these experiments in sound is full scale theatrical journeys from lands long forgotten and times yet passed.
The aria of the Sonata, Dirrrty Romance, is a fugure from the darker corners of the colonies of the New World. Piano solos paired artfully with wobbling sub bass.
The adagio, Haunting Echoes, is a more introspective piece which, as legend has it, was inspired by the weepings of somber angels.
The final piece to complete the trptych, Drops in the Desert, is another fugure with a melody born from scents and spices bottled in the dusty air of a Persian Bazaar.
Reinterpretations have been frequent over the years, the most popular presented here, by the composers known as Splatinum and Scuzzy.
The lost city of Atlantis carries on its existence deep beneath the seas.
An advanced culture of underwater palaces honeycombs the ocean floor.
The salad days of this world parallel our own with advanced technology and dominance of the creatures that inhabit the depths of the ocean.
Aquatic palaces spire off into the sky while nautical hedonists carouse into the night.
As the tidal wave rushes down on the partying throngs of this lost civilization and ours as well there's only one thing left to do:
Party like there's No Tomorrow.

Hailing from Brighton, UK, Manni Dee weaves together a soundscape of cosmic rays and Hip Hop drive, sprinkled with busted old Nintendo systems and the crusted city grime scraped off your shoe.
With a nod on his sound from the Lucky Me camp, Manni Dee is loved by blogs the world over for his laid back but heavy take on the future of Hip Hop.
Manni holds a residency at Brighton's Throw Some Shapes and has been featured on Munich's Bogaloo Radio and LA's Dank Radio.
The A Side of this release, Antidote, comes pre-packaged with a stamp of approval by Cali's Dibiase.
Slowed down twinkling 8-bit arpeggios and heady Terrance McKenna samples keep this tune in the clouds, while the baseline and late claps keep the groove.
Remix support provided by studio partner Alby D on a darker, stompier mix and Rotterdam's Halp with a brightened Techno trip.
The B Side, Universal Symphony, is another thick atmosphere, this time slower in tempo and with a wobbling bass that reminisces of floating through clouds while future planets rumble apart, with pieces of rock falling from the sky.
Remix support on this one provided by Moscows's Pixelord, with an upbeat Juke stepper.
From the producer:
Team Obnots is back once again with its eighth 48 Hour Film Project movie, Working Stiff. It was our first movie in HD! We got 'comedy' for the genre. We had to use a chess piece as a prop, the line of dialogue "I didn't see that coming", and the character 'Uncle Hank or Aunt Henrietta'. The movie is about a party ghost that needs to find a job and also find his place in the world. This is version 1 with a few fixes. Stay tuned for version 2 (maybe a few more fixes) and the outtakes footage -- coming soon!
Cast & Crew: Bahar Baharloo, CJB, Dorothy Bassett, Eve Pogoda, Honey Bee, Ian Lippincott, Jeff Mission, Jess Riggs, Joed Polly, John Dill, Leslie Diamond, Patrick Nichols, Tiffany LaRoche, Uncle, and music by: Vinyl Blight, Dabu, and Serial Krusher.
In general relativity, gravity is the result of the geometry of space itself. These geometrical solutions always cause attractive "forces". Under general relativity, anti-gravity is nearly impossible. Instances of reactionless propulsion have been experienced by humans from ancient times to transmissions from the future, but no true form of anti-gravity has been documented within earth's atmosphere.
Deep in a top secret lab, bass-scientists and sonic sorcerers have been experimenting with unconventional hybrid technologies, attempting to fuse a kinemassic field generator with a bass driver.
Combining rotating superconductors and low frequencies have led to some ground-breaking results. Gimmicks like magnetic levitation, electrohydrodynamic thrust, tidal forces, and Lifters will all officially be put to shame May 7, 2011.
Join us on this fateful day to be a part of history of galactic proportions. Whether the final experiment results in the long-awaited phenomenon, or is the tragic cease of existence as we know, one thing is for absolute certain: We will party like there's No Tomorrow.

Jupit3r takes the elements of glitch, dub, and dirty bass music, and opens a portal into the not so distant future where music is made by robots and people live eternally in a virtual reality of beats, bleeps and bass.
The sounds on this EP are layered like the subtext to a great story, and in the details is where Jupit3r's fans find their satisfaction. In fact, the title was inspired by the 1970's children's book. As 'Brostep' began to recycle itself, Jupit3r has remained steadfast on his course to constantly evolve and push through our imagination with his nu-bass beats.
Also included on the album is remixes from like-minded, future-thinking West Coast artists: Ruff Hauser, Stephan Jacobs, Sugarpill, and Quade.

Giant robot laser battles; tender mechanized love-making; the blinking blips and bleeps of artificial intelligence communications: these are the computerized moods that will wash over you in the most calculated of ways.
+verb (pronounced “Adverb” by humans) is a new blog favorite in the genre of bass. Recently featured on Soundcloud’s “What’s Hot” list for a collaboration with Stephan Jacobs, the world is anxiously preparing for an invasion of his robotic army.
And with recent EPs on Car Crash Set and Muti, a stellar remix of Starkey on Civil Music, forthcoming EPs on Simplify and Robox Neotech, and new EP on Vermin Street, it may just be time to start listening to the demands of our new robot overlords.
From the twin bass heavy, dancefloor crushbots known as Puddlegum, to the sweet but metallic soliloquies of robot love in Meltyyy; the Solar Heat Traveler EP features a wide variety of experiments in Artificial Intelligence.
Replication support provided by some of Bass Music's mad scientists au currant: Knight Riderz; Freddy Todd; and Dev79.
Masterfully polished by Bil Bless.
And brought to you by Vermin Street, purveyors of all things that go blap in the night, be they man, beast or machine.
Through the centuries of our evolution, we have wondered whether somewhere out in the vastness of space there are others. From our lonesome hive in the limitless vacuum, casting our massive radio ears toward the heavens, we have awaited some distant response.
Many deny the speculations that They left their signs throughout history as prophets, angels, and demons. Others have covered up signs of Their existence in science, from th...e arguers against the theory of panspermia to denying the discovery of alien fossils hidden in meteorites.
The deniers can no longer silence the truth. The saucers hang low in the sky, the lasers are raining down from heaven, and They have made their existence clear to everyone.

At first, everything seemed great. The machines brought a sort of sedated, utopian experience. Effort, pain, and suffering were no more.
The awakening of A.I. has led to entire branches of human knowledge being subsumed by an intelligent internet. The ability to reason, think and finally memorize have been forgotten by humanity.
Creation of new scientific theories, music composition, medicine, and even Wikipedia edits have been ...fully automated by intelligent technology. This state of existence has lulled society to sleep in a naively serene, false sense of security.
The A.I. is tracking all individuals by their GPS devices, social networking updates, and cellphone cameras. Soulless war machines are pouring out of factories with the single intent of wiping out their former masters. Swarms of flesh eating, self replicating nanobots gather together in the world's oceans, while armies of autonomous quadcopters await their command in the skies.
The last humans on earth see mechanical annihilation on the horizon and realize there's only one thing left to do: Party like there's No Tomorrow.
