Vinyl Blight aims to breathe life into the Ragga-Jungle sound he grew up on by splicing it with newer techniques and noises.
He's had the fortune to work with, remix and be remixed by some fantastic artists, including: Bongo Chilli; Mochipet; Kush Arora; MC Zulu; and Liquid Stranger.
Vinyl Blight has been a DJ for over 10 years, primarily in the Ragga and DnB arena, but the past few years have seen the inclusion of Dancehall, IDM, Glitch Hop, Breakcore, and Dubstep.
Vinyl Blight has been producing events for over 7 years with local crews and tech-art communities in all types of venues; homes, clubs, galleries, warehouses, forests, and festivals including Burning Man, SxSW, Firefly, Together and Figment.
Some of the events he's coordinated/co-organized have featured: Udachi, Dov, Ill-Esha, Freddy Todd, Bird Of Prey, AfroMonk, Hobotech; Lorn; TechDiff; Ill Gates; Splatinum; Moldy; Shpongle; Liquid Stranger; DFRNT; NastyNasty; Mochipet; Somatic Responses; Sickboy; Droon; Mark N; Kid Kameleon; DJ C; and Dev/Null.
Vinyl Blight is responsible for the administration of Vermin Street.
He likes to describe the Vermin Street project as one that draws its strength from a talented and diverse community.
He also prides the label on releasing quality, dancefloor shaking beats that defy the established trends in dance music.
Vermin Street was the first label to release Tremourz, NastyNasty, Encanti and Zebbler Encanti Experience, was the first label to work with +verb and presented debut EPs from Jupit3r and Bobby Tank.
